A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 140, DARLINGTON WORKS, 1925, from a LNER K3 Class 2-6-0 No 140 built at Darlington in February 1925, renumbered 1841 in 1946, becoming BR 61841. Allocated to New England by January 1948 and later March, finishing its days at Woodford Halse from where it was withdrawn on 27 March 1962 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast iron, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
