A brass plate, 6018 IMPROVED DRAUGHTING, from GWR 'King' Class 6018 KING HENRY VI. Due to the decline in the quality of coal in the 1950's a number of ex-GWR locomotives had their smokebox arrangements altered by a reduction in the chimney liner and blastpipe diameters and the removal of the "jumper top" in the blastpipe. Those altered in this way had these small plates fitted in the cab. Cast brass, 3¾"x2½", ex loco condition. (Collect from Banbury Depot/Posted by Woodford Halse Office)
