A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 61039, DARLINGTON WORKS, 1947, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 which entered traffic on 12th December 1947 as LNER 1039 and named STEINBOK. Renumbered as BR 61039 on 21st December 1947. Allocated new to Darlington, its final shed was Doncaster, from where it was withdrawn in June 1965. Scrapped by T.W. Ward at Beighton in August 1965.
