A Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway brake van lamp with red and white bull's eye lens, an embossed brass plate SOMERSET & DORSET JOINT RAILWAY on the top and a brass plate RADSTOCK below. The back of the case is clearly stamped S&DJR, the vessel is stamped LMS, C&W and brass plated LMS For Petroleum Only. The lamp came from the collection of the late Ivo Peters, the doyen of S&D photographers. It is in superb original condition. (Postage Band: N/A)
