A worksplate, The Hunslet Engine Co. 2839 of 1943. From a standard gauge 0-4-0 diesel mechanical locomotive of 44HP new in October 1943 to Henry Williamson Ltd, Railway Appliance Works, Darlington, Co. Durham. Sold around 1966 to Hanratty Brothers for use at their Whessoe Road scrap yard, Darlington. The yard closed in April 1982 and the locomotive scrapped shortly afterwards. Cast iron, 11½"x8", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
