A flamecut cabside numberplate 50 005 from a BR Class 50 No D405 built by English Electric/Vulcan Foundry, Works Nos 3775/D1146 allocated new to LMWL in January 1968. After transferring to the Western Region it was named COLLINGWOOD in April 1978 after a battleship of 1908. Withdrawn from Laira in November 1990, it was cut up in March 1991 by Coopers at BR Old Oak Common where staff very carefully removed this cabside for the original purchaser. 59"x24", one of the best examples seen, the numbers in excellent condition with no scorching whatsoever.
