A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 63449, A.W. 1920, from a North Eastern Railway Class T2, LNER Q6 Class, 0-8-0 No 2292, built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 40, in October 1920, renumbered 3449 in 1946, becoming BR 63449. A long time Selby engine until that shed closed in September 1959 when it moved to York and then Neville Hill from where it was withdrawn on 15 July 1963 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", lightly cleaned but unpainted, the former number 3449 visible under the renumbering strip. (Postage Band: B)
