A Midland Railway shedplate 3. These plates were introduced in 1911 and affixed to the lower part of the smokebox. This code was for Saltley which also provided locos for sub sheds at Bournville (later 21B), Redditch (sub 21B), Stratford-upon-Avon (21D) and Blisworth (closed 1929). MR plates were replaced in 1935 by the LMS, using the alfa numerical series. Cast iron, 5¼"x3", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
