A smokebox numberplate, 45421, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5421 built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 1476, and allocated new to Crewe North on 11 October 1937, becoming BR 45421. Its later sheds were Patricroft, Edge Hill, Barrow, Carlisle Kingmoor and Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 10 February 1968 and despatched for scrap to T.W. Ward at Beighton on 1 May 1968. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
