A locomotive nameplate, WATERSMEET, together with its matching WEST COUNTRY CLASS scroll, from the Bulleid €˜West Country' Class 4-6-2 built at Brighton Works in 1946 and numbered 21C130. Renumbered BR 34030 in November 1948. Allocated to Ramsgate in January 1948, then Stewarts Lane and finally Exmouth Junction in October 1948, where it remained until withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Eastleigh the following December. The name comes from the meeting point of the East Lynn River and Farley Water in Devon, the site now owned and administered by the National Trust.
