A worksplate, LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY Co, No 2024, DONCASTER, 1948, from the (LNER) Peppercorn Class A2 4-6-2 Pacific No 60533 built at Doncaster in April 1948 and named HAPPY KNIGHT after the racehorse which won the 1946 2000 Guineas. Allocated new to New England its other sheds were Copley Hill, Annesley, Grantham, Kings Cross and Doncaster, finishing its days at New England from where it was withdrawn on 15 June 1963 and cut up at Doncaster Works.
