A nameplate SEAHORSE from a LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No 5705 built at Crewe and named after a Royal Navy submarine built in 1932 and lost in action in 1940. Allocated new on 21 May 1936 to Farnley Junction where it spent twenty years before moving in June 1956 to Blackpool where it spent a further eight years. It finished its days at Newton Heath from where it was withdrawn on 10 November 1965 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. Cast brass, length 28¾", the front repainted, the back stamped with one dot indicating that this is the left hand side plate.
