A worksplate, VULCAN FOUNDRY, 5534, NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS, 1947, from a LNER Class B1 4-6-0 1176. Renumbered BR 61176 in 1949. New to Darlington, it was subsequently allocated at York, Darlington, West Hartlepool, Hull Dairycoates and finally York, from where it was withdrawn in November 1965 and sold for scrap the following month to A. Draper of Hull. Cast brass, 9"x5¼", the front repainted. (Collect from Banbury Depot/Posted by Woodford Halse Office)
