A worksplate, R & W HAWTHORN LESLIE, 2640, NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE, 1905, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to The Consett Iron Co Ltd, Consett, County Durham, numbered B 27. It worked at Consett, also as required at the companies Langley Park Colliery and Derwenthaugh locomotive shed, Swalwell. By November 1938 it was permanently based at Consett and scrapped there in April 1959. Cast brass, 12"x7¾", the front repainted. (Collect from Banbury Depot/Posted by Woodford Halse Office)
