A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 28231, 1948, from a (LNER) B1 Class 4-6-0 61330 allocated new to New England on 23 June 1948, moving to Scotland in 1953, allocated to Carstairs and St Margarets with a final nine years at Thornton Junction from where it was withdrawn on 19 November 1966 and sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw. Cast brass, 13¾"x5½", the front repainted, wasting at the right bolt hole. (Postage Band: B)
