A worksplate HUNSLET ENGINE Co, No 316 of 1883. From a 1ft 10¾ ins gauge 0-4-0ST new in July 1883 to Penrhyn Quarries, Bethesda, Caernarvonshire, and named GWYNEDD. One of three Port Class locomotives purchased for work at Port Penrhyn although all three later worked in the slate quarries at Bethesda with other Hunslet locomotives. Withdrawn in August 1954 and stored until sold for preservation in 1965. In 1966 it moved to the Bressingham Steam Museum, Diss, Norfolk where it is still located. Engraved brass, 9½"x6¾", the front lightly polished, light horizontal score marks in places. (Postage Band: B)
