A shipbuilders plate BRAEMAR, BUILT BY J SAMUEL WHITE & CO LTD, COWES, ISLE OF WIGHT. Built in the 1930s, the vessel served in the second world war as the armed yacht Clorinde, was re-engined in the 1950s, then renamed Meltemi between 1981 and 1983 and more recently became the Amphora. She is still operational, privately owned. Engraved brass, 13"x8¼", the front polished. A book on Samuel White, which includes an illustration of the Braemar, accompanies this lot. (Postage Band: C)
