A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 60855, DARLINGTON WORKS 1939, from a LNER V2 Class 2-6-2 No 4826 built at Darlington in April 1939 and allocated new to Kings Cross. Its only other sheds were New England, Neasden and York from where it was withdrawn in April 1964 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
