A smokebox numberplate, 6955, from a GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 LYDCOTT HALL, built at Swindon in March 1943 and named in June 1947 after the Hall at Brayford near Barnstaple in North Devon. Allocated to Salisbury (WR) by January 1948, it spent most of its working life at Westbury before finishing its days at Severn Tunnel Junction from where it was withdrawn in February 1965 and cut up at Swindon Works.
