A smokebox numberplate, 44859, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 4859 built at Crewe in 1944. Allocated to Millhouses by 1948 its later sheds were Nottingham, Saltley where it spent ten years, Aston, Tyseley, Stoke and Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn in November 1967 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge.
