A Midland Railway 12" dial dropcase wall clock, with chain driven fusee movement, the original face written JOHN SMITH & SONS, MIDLAND CLOCK WORKS, QUEEN STREET, DERBY, complete with pendulum and key, the side with an aluminium plate 2, for the Derby Locomotive and Carriage works (see Lyman page 112, Fig. 4.33), side and base door and a decorative cartouche below the dial.
