A locomotive nameplate, ODNEY MANOR, from a (GWR) 7800 Manor Class 4-6-0 No 7828 built at Swindon in December 1950 and, although Swindon gave its location as Cookham in Berkshire, there was no building so named and it is presumed that Swindon had in mind Lullebrook Manor in Odney Lane at Cookham, now a hotel. Its first allocation was Neath and later Shrewsbury for almost ten years, Croes Newydd, Machynlleth where it was a regular performer on former Cambrian lines, and finally back to Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in October 1965 and sold for scrap to Woodham Bros at Barry Docks. One of eight Manors saved for preservation, it is currently operational on the West Somerset Railway.
