A locomotive nameplate, MURICIDAE, from a BR Class 47 No D1845 built at BR Crewe in May 1965 and allocated new to Crewe Diesel Depot. Renumbered 47195 in March 1974 and named from August 1988 and June 1991, one of the fleet naming of dedicated Shell locos using Latin names of shells and incorporating the Shell company logo. Withdrawn from Tinsley in October 1991 and cut up by Coopers Metals of Sheffield in March 1994. Cast aluminium, length 45¾", ex loco condition. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
