A tenderplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 4213, 1947, from the tender allotted new to the LNER BI Class 4-6-0 No 1223 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 26124, in August 1947 which became BR 61223. Its sheds included Gorton, Cambridge, Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Lincoln and Immingham from where it was withdrawn in January 1966 and sold for scrap to Garnham, Harris & Elton at Chesterfield. Cast iron, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
