A smokebox numberplate, 47615, from a LMS Class 3F 0-6-0 No 16698 built by Beardmore, Works No 363, in 1928, renumbered 7615 in 1934, becoming BR 47615. At Crewe South by January 1935, it spent over twenty years at Mold Junction before spending its final two years allocated to Crewe Works from where it was withdrawn during the week ending 8 October 1966. Lightly cleaned but unrestored. (Postage Band: D)
