A worksplate, BRITISH RAILWAYS, CREWE BUILT, 1964, POWER EQUIPMENT BY BRITISH ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COMPANY LTD AND SULZER, from a BR Class 47 diesel No D1631 allocated new to Crewe North in October 1964. Renumberd 47049 in February 1974, it was named GEFCO between April 1996 and April 1999. Withdrawn from Bescot in June 1998, it was cut up at Wigan CRDC in January 2000. Cast aluminium, 13"x6½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
