A Stockton and Darlington Railway house plaque, S&DR K8, as fitted to the station buildings at Waskerley on the Broomhill Junction to Crawley branch which was geographically east of Stanhope, County Durham. Although the station was only open to passengers between 1855 and 1859, the remote line lasted until 1968 for freight after which the station was demolished. The plaque is ceramic, 9¼"x10¾", in original condition, several small edge chips and a small loss at the back, not visible from the front, sound condition, with no cracking.
