A worksplate, BALDWIN, PHILADELPHIA, USA, 69678, 1943, from a 5ft 6ins gauge American war supply 2-8-2 new to East Indian Railway, their No 6107, which was assembled at Jamalpur Works. One of forty of the massive XE/1 Class, later the AWE Class, this engine was subsequently moved to the Central Railway, becoming All-India No 22901. (Postage Band: B)
