A worksplate, BEYER PEACOCK, 6619, 1929, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Rhodesia Railways 14th Class 2-6-2+2-6-2 Garratt No 234 delivered in 1930. It was renumbered 501 in 1949 and became part of the National Railways of Zimbabwe in April 1980. Stored at Bulaweyo in 1978, it returned to service in 1979/80 for shunting duties. Withdrawn from service by 1993, it was derelict at Bulaweyo in 1996 and subsequently scrapped. Cast brass, 18½"x9½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
