A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 60968, Darlington, 1943, from a LNER V2 Class 2-6-2 No 3680, built at Darlington, Works No 1908, renumbered 968 in January 1947, becoming BR 60968. It entered traffic in April 1943 at York where it spent all its working life. Withdrawn in May 1963, it was cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
