A smokebox numberplate, 42782, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-0 No 13082 built at Crewe in 1927, renumbered 2782 in 1934, becoming BR 42782. A long time Aston engine, it moved in 1957 to Bescot and later sheds included Stoke and Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn in December 1966 and sold for scrap to Wards of Killamarsh.
