A tenderplate, GWR SWINDON, 1657, 1906, from a Standard Churchward 3500 gallon tender, one of Swindon Lot A67, used with all Churchward's standard tender locomotives and also Dukes and later Castles, Halls, Granges and Manors. This was one of the tenders converted to carry oil fuel for use with GWR locomotives converted to oil burning in the 1940s. (Postage Band: C)
