A smokebox numberplate, 90437, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built to Ministry of Supply order by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 5007, in February 1944, WD No 77491. Loaned to the SR in March 1944, it returned to the WD the following November for service in Belgium. After returning to the UK it was loaned to the LNER in January 1946 becoming their Class O7 and renumbered 3116 in March 1947 and BR 63116 in June 1948. Purchased by BR in December 1948, it became 90437 and spent almost all its BR days at Colwick before finishing its days at Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in April 1966 and sold for scrap to Drapers at Hull.
