A smokebox numberplate, 1506, from a (GWR) 1500 Class 0-6-0PT, one of a class of only ten locos built at Swindon, and allocated new to Old Oak Common on 1 September 1949. Two months later it moved to Newport Pill where it spent ten years until moving in 1959 to nearby Ebbw Junction. In May 1962 it returned to Old Oak Common and was used for shunting empty carriage stock in and out of Paddington. Withdrawn from Old Oak Common in the week ending 30 November 1963 and sold for scrap to Hayes at Bridgend. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
