An LNWR handlamp, the side stamped, THRAPSTONE P WAY (note old spelling), also LNWR CAR DEPT, WOLVERTON, its place of manufacture. Thrapstone was on the Northampton to Peterborough route which closed in 1964. The lamp is complete with interior, vessel stamped LNWR, maroon and cream paintwork, probably dating from its time at the station. (Postage Band: C)
