A worksplate, BALDWIN, 69868, 1943, from a metre gauge 2-8-2 WW2-supply class, known in the Far East as "MacArthurs" & in India class MAWD. This engine was USATC no.506, went to the Bengal & Assam Rly. no.898, then the Assam Railway and finally Indian Rlys no. 1751. This type survived in use on the N.E. Frontier Rly until about 1993. Cast iron, 9¼" diameter, cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: C)
