A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 25855, 1946, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1099 which became BR 61099. It entered traffic at Hitchin in November 1946 and its later sheds were Kings Cross, St Margarets, Bathgate and Thornton Junction from where it was withdrawn in September 1966 and sold for scrap to Shipbreaking Industries at Faslane. Cast white brass, 13½x5½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
