A tenderplate, GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY, 904, SWINDON WORKS, APR 1889, 3000 GALLONS, the first of Swindon Lot A10 built between April 1889 and February 1890, from a type of tender used with Singles, 2-4-0s, all classes of double-framed 4-4-0, Atlantics, 2301 class, Aberdares and 2800 class. This is the lowest numbered of the many GWR tenderplate sold through our auctions. Engraved brass, 11¼"x8¼", the front polished. (Postage Band: B)
