A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 9693, BUILT 1927, from a LNER N7 Class 0-6-2T No 2653 built by Beardmore, Works No 316, renumbered 9693 in 1946, becoming BR 69693. Allocated new to Kings Cross in August 1927, it moved in June 1933 to Stratford where it spent the remainder of its working life until withdrawal in September 1961. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
