A nameplate JOHN from a standard gauge 0-6-0 saddle tank built by Manning, Wardle & Co Ltd. Leeds, works number 1760 of 1910. New to Glasshoughton & Castleford Collieries Ltd. Glasshoughton Colliery, Castleford, Yorkshire West Riding. Passed to the National Coal Board with the colliery in 1947. Out of use by June 1954 and scrapped around April 1956. Cast brass, 25½"x6¾", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
