A worksplate, L&NER, 1770, 1921 and earlier number 4680 erased but still legible, from a Great Northern Railway Class H3, LNER K2 Class 2-6-0, No 1680 built by Kitson & Co, Works No 5330, in June 1921, renumbered 4680 in 1924 and 1770 in 1946, becoming BR 61770. At Colwick by 1948 and later Boston before moving to Scotland in 1951 at Eastfield and Thornton Junction with a final seven years at Dunfermline from where it was withdrawn in July 1959 and sold for scrap to J.N.Connell at Coatbridge. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front lightly cleaned. (Postage Band: C)
