An industrial locomotive nameplate, STANTON No 50, cast brass, length 31", lightly cleaned but unpainted, together with its matching worksplate, YORKSHIRE ENGINE, 2670, cast brass, 11"x6". in ex loco condition. From a standard gauge 0-6-0 €˜Janus' class diesel-electric locomotive new to Stanton Ironworks Co, Ltd, Derbyshire. Later with British Steel Corporation (Chemicals) Ltd at their Orgreave works, Sheffield. In August 1990 it passed into preservation with the Rutland Railway Museum at Cottesmore. Currently located at The Stainmore Railway, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
