A worksplate, THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC Co Ltd/ THE VULCAN FOUNDRY, No 2911/D563, 1960, from a Class 55 Deltic D9006, introduced in June 1961 and named THE FIFE AND FORFAR YEOMANRY from December 1964 until February 1981. Allocated new to Haymarket, renumbered 55006 in March 1974, withdrawn from York in February 1981 and cut up by BREL Doncaster the following July. Chromed brass, 10¼"x4½", the front repainted in BR loco blue, the back stamped 55 006. (Postage Band: B)
