A set of Great Western Railway plans for the Whitland and Cardigan Railway, a revised survey of 1895 comprising four leather-covered volumes, 6"x12", with gilt title, covering the entire route with annotations relating to land acquisitions and disposals. The plans are hand-coloured and highly detailed, even showing signal posts. These types of plans are generally known as Terrier Maps. They are in excellent condition though the three slip cases have had repairs. The route opened in 1873/74 to Crymmych Arms and was extended to Cardigan in 1886.
