A nameplate, AVENGER, Warship Class from Class 42 diesel hydraulic D804. Built Swindon April 1959 and new to Plymouth Laira. Withdrawn from Laira in October 1971 and cut up at Swindon in March 1972. Cast aluminium, 34 1/2x11 1/4, the front repainted, the back in ex loco condition with plenty of corrosion. A regular performer on the Bristolian when Warships first replaced the Castles.
