A locomotive nameplate, BURWARTON HALL, the left hand plate from a GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 No 6932 built at Swindon in December 1941 and named in March 1946 after the home near Cleobury Mortimer of Viscount Boyne who had family connections with the Cleobury Mortimer & Ditton Priors Light Railway. Allocated new to Oxley, its later sheds included Old Oak Common, Cardiff Canton, Cardiff East Dock, Severn Tunnel Junction and Oxford from where it was withdrawn in December 1965 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport, ex loco condition, as delivered from Swindon Works.
