A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 8269, REBUILT STRATFORD WORKS, 1936, from a Great Eastern Railway/LNER J19 Class 0-6-0 No 8269 built at Stratford in March 1919, renumbered 4669 in 1946, becoming BR 64669. The rebuilding relates to the fitting of a larger boiler in 1936 when the loco was reclassified to J19/2. It spent most of its later years at March before moving in 1960 to Stratford where it was condemned in September 1961. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
