A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 1443, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 1 4-8-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 16417, in 1904 for Natal Government Railways, their No 322. It became part of SAR on its formation in 1910 and was reclassified to 1B having been converted to a 4-8-2 in 1906. It reverted to Class 1 when the trailing wheels were removed in the 1920s. All were withdrawn by 1975. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", ex loco condition. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
