A worksplate HUNSLET ENGINE 1164 of 1914. From a standard gauge 0-6-0ST named RAVINE, new to West Leigh Colliery Co Ltd, Wigan, Lancashire. Sold in March 1923 to Briggs & Son Ltd, Whitwood Colliery, Normanton, Yorkshire. Passed to the NCB with the colliery in January 1947 and later renamed WHITWOOD No 2. Transferred to Ackton Hall Colliery in 1957 and finally to Prince of Wales Colliery, Pontefract in 1961 where it became S.104. Scrapped on site in August 1968 by Thomson & Butterfield Ltd. Cast brass, 11¼"x8", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
