A worksplate, CKD, 1470, 1929, from a standard gauge 2-8-4T class 446 built for Czech State Rlys, (CSD) no. 446-010. A heavy tank engine designed for suburban service, only 27 were produced due to their axle weight. Later the class was redesignated 456 when the maximum permitted speed was raised. Cast brass, 13½"x5¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
